Representation
How often have you felt tangled in red tape and frustrated with decisions people have taken which affect your business? Do you ever feel that your view never seems to be taken into account when the next big thing or latest policy is in the offing? We do live in a democracy but when there are so many voices to be heard, many of us feel like ours is lost.
Bury St Edmunds Chamber of Commerce is highly respected and has built relationships with key decision makers and governing bodies over decades. We know who to speak to and how to form a compelling argument and have used these skills and relationships to represent our members on a variety of issues.
The Chamber's view is often sought as a matter of course in decision making - from forming local government structure, to planning decisions, press enquiries and government initiatives.
Furthermore, the Chamber maintains an active presence on local committees governing community projects such as the Bury St Edmunds Christmas Lights and Christmas Fayre Working Groups. In addition, the Chamber acts on commerce centred committees, such as the Impact Management Group which works to control and capitalise on the forthcoming arc development in Bury St Edmunds.
