Networking
The chances are if you are struggling to get to grips with import and export duty or need to find a cheaper means of recruiting new staff the likelihood is that somebody will have gone through this before and will be able to offer a tangible solution. Likewise, you may be the one with the solution.
The relationships which are forged on the basis of this information exchange are strong, and often result in much improved B2B relations, increased sales, preferred supplier agreements and sometimes, a reduction in charges.
The First Friday Club (FFC)
The Chamber hosts monthly breakfast meetings, each of which has a speaker, so whatever happens, you'll leave with a head full of fresh information and new ideas.
Non-members are welcome to attend our breakfast meetings when paying a Non-member entry rate. So please feel free to see for yourself. Come along and connect yourself with the local business community over a croissant or two (see 'Events' for more details).
On top of this the chamber maintains a regular programme of events; hosting everything from social get-togethers, to visits to internationally renowned businesses. Mostly importantly, there is no stuffiness or formality. The focus is on enjoying yourself and building genuine relationships.
